What We Do
Your body is a skeleton moved by muscles, controlled by the nervous system. When any part of that system isn't working well, the rest compensates, and compensation is often where pain begins.
Most chiropractors focus primarily on the joint. We focus on the joint AND the muscles that move it. Tight, imbalanced muscles pull joints out of position and keep them there, even after a good adjustment. Addressing both together leads to more complete, longer-lasting results.
We are not a high-volume, quick-adjustment office. Our approach combines chiropractic care, soft tissue therapy, stretching, rehabilitation, and recovery support to help patients achieve longer-lasting results.
For more than 35 years, Dr. Jim Donoghue D.C. has helped Sacramento-area patients recover from injury, improve mobility, and stay active through a combination of chiropractic care, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation, and movement-based recovery strategies.

Why Our Approach Is Different
Many chiropractic offices focus almost exclusively on spinal adjustments. At The Wellness Spa of Arden, treatment often begins with moist heat to prepare the tissues, relax the body, and create a more comfortable treatment experience. Care may then include soft tissue therapy, stretching, and chiropractic treatment, followed by rehabilitation exercises and recovery strategies tailored to your specific needs.
Tight muscles pull joints back into dysfunctional patterns. By addressing both the muscles and the joints together, many patients experience more comfortable treatment and longer-lasting results.
Our goal isn't simply to help you feel better for a few hours. It's to help you move better, recover better, and function better long term.
Massage therapy and esthetics services are also available at Wellness Spa of Arden through our licensed massage therapist and esthetician.
